Before: Damaged Wood Siding and Aging Windows
The home’s original exterior featured white wood siding, dark trim, and a decorative front gable. Damaged siding and older windows made it time for an exterior update.
The project addressed several needs together: replacing worn materials, adding insulation beneath the siding, updating the windows and entry door, and completing the exterior with new trim and drainage components.
CertainTeed Siding Gives the Home a New Look
Our crew replaced the damaged wood siding with CertainTeed Monogram vinyl siding in Herringbone. The horizontal siding gives the main exterior a consistent finish, while CertainTeed Straight Edge Perfection Shake adds texture to the front gable.
The completed design pairs light horizontal siding with a darker shake accent and white trim. This combination highlights the home’s roofline and porch while giving the exterior a coordinated appearance.
Insulation and Moisture Protection Beneath the Siding
The renovation included work beneath the visible exterior. We installed Norandex rigid foam insulation and a new moisture barrier before completing the siding installation.
These upgrades addressed insulation and moisture protection as part of the siding replacement. Completing them during the renovation allowed us to improve the exterior beyond its appearance.
Polaris Window Replacement and a New Front Door
We replaced the home’s old windows with Polaris sliding replacement windows as part of the energy-efficiency upgrade. The new windows also update the appearance and functionality of the home.
A new front door with a frosted glass panel completes the entry. Its design brings light into the doorway while providing privacy.
New Soffit, Fascia, Gutters, and Downspouts
To complete the renovation, our crew installed:
- Vented aluminum soffit
- New fascia
- New gutters
- New downspouts
These finishing details create a consistent look along the roof edges and complete the home’s exterior drainage system.
Before and After: A Coordinated Exterior Renovation
The completed project brings the siding, windows, front door, trim, and gutters together in one design. The home retains its recognizable shape while gaining a refreshed exterior and materials selected to reduce ongoing maintenance.
The before-and-after photos show the change clearly: damaged wood siding and dark decorative trim give way to Herringbone vinyl siding, shake accents, and white finishing details.
